You didn’t stop being a runner — you just hit a setback. At The Movement Schopp Physical Therapy, our doctorate-level PTs find the real root cause of your injury, keep you moving while you heal, and build you back stronger than before. Rated 5.0 stars across 350+ Google reviews, we’re Torrance’s go-to clinic for runners who refuse to be told to just stop. No referral needed. New-patient evaluation from $129.
Most running injuries aren’t solved by rest — they come back because the root cause was never addressed. If you’ve been stuck in the cycle of pain, rest, and repeat, you’re not alone. And there’s a better way.
Rest may make your pain feel better, but it doesn’t always address the weakness or movement pattern behind it. Return to running too soon without fixing the root cause, and that knee, hip, shin, or Achilles pain can put you right back on the sidelines.
Every extra week away from running can make your comeback feel harder. As mileage drops and race goals get pushed back, it’s easy to lose confidence in what your body can handle and become hesitant every time you try to run again.
A one-size-fits-all exercise sheet doesn’t account for your gait, training volume, strength, or goals. Without runner-specific testing and a progressive return-to-running plan, you may feel better temporarily without knowing whether your body is actually ready for the demands of running.
We built The Movement Schopp for everyday athletes who don’t want to fall through the cracks of a broken system. Our return to running physical therapy in Torrance goes deeper than symptom management — we use objective performance testing, 1-on-1 DPT care, and sport-specific programming to get you back to running stronger, smarter, and for the long haul.
We start with a comprehensive assessment of your running mechanics, strength, mobility, and movement patterns to identify what’s contributing to your pain and keeping you from running at your best.
Your Doctor of Physical Therapy creates a personalized program to address the specific weaknesses and limitations we uncover. One-on-one treatment combines targeted strength work, mobility, hands-on care, and progressive loading built around your running goals.
We gradually increase your running volume and intensity while tracking how your body responds. Objective testing and sport-specific progressions help determine when you’re ready to return to regular training and pursue your next mileage or race goal.
Whether you’re dealing with a nagging overuse injury or something that’s kept you off the road for months, our return to running physical therapy in Torrance is built to handle the full spectrum of running-related conditions. From your first step back to your next race start line, we’ve got you covered near me and across the South Bay.
