Our Mission
We believe freedom is the most powerful possession in our life. It allows us to do the things we love like travel with friends, enjoy quality time with our family, & live an active, fulfilled life unrestricted by physical limitations. Too often the medical community tells you to stop being active at some point. They say you’re too old to squat, jump, run, hike, surf and even perform movements needed to play with your kids! Well, we disagree. I just want to leave you with one question: How much of your current lifestyle fits the mold of the lifestyle you’re meant to live?

I had the best experience with The Movement Schopp! Not only did William and Ricky explain everything thoroughly, but they also demonstrated the techniques with ease. I even used the stretches on the 9th hole of my last golf game and noticed a significant improvement in my mobility.
Ask them about the 6-week course “The Low Back Golf Solution” a game changer for any weekend golf warrior struggling with back pain!

Ricky & Will from The Movement Schopp have been incredible to work with! I’ve had several injuries & surgeries over the past few years and I’ve been struggling to get back to full health. I’ve worked with several physical therapists on my journey back to health, but I just felt like I was getting boiler plate treatment. Ricky & Will are extremely professional & incredibly knowledgeable and have put together a tailored program, that’s producing lasting results. I would highly recommend The Movement Schopp to anyone looking for a great Physical Therapist to get you back in the game!
Get to Know Dr. William Schopp
I was born and raised in the South Bay (San Pedro) where I live with my wife, Ashley, and son, Liam. I have always been into sports and fitness from an early age. I started playing hockey and surfing as a youngster then got into Rugby and played Football at Mary Star High School. Now, my sports are the same as the people I work with: Crossfit, golf, surfing, & running.
In high school I decided I wanted to be a psychologist. Then I broke my knee playing football, went to physical therapy, and fell in love (with Physical Therapy).
If you know me, you’ll know when I set my heart on something there is no slowing down. From my Senior year in high school, I started down the health and wellness path starting with personal training, receiving my Bachelor of Science from Long Beach State in Kinesiology, and then receiving my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from St. Augustine in San Diego.
