Performance Physical Therapist/Lead Physical Therapist
I was born and raised in South Lake Tahoe. Throughout high school, I played multiple sports including soccer, basketball, and baseball. I went on to play basketball in Junior College where I unfortunately suffered multiple injuries. While rehabilitating these injuries, I took a profound interest in the process of helping others get back to activity or function, eventually leading me to the sports medicine field.
I received my bachelor’s degree at San Diego State University in athletic training and became a certified athletic trainer (ATC). Throughout the athletic training education program, I was fortunate enough to work in a variety of settings including high schools, community colleges, D1 programs, and professional sports. In my final year, I earned an internship with the San Diego Chargers where I truly found my calling in helping others reach their functional and performance goals.
Continuing the pursuit of sports medicine, I received my doctorate in physical therapy at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in San Marcos. Since graduating, I have worked primarily in the outpatient orthopedic and professional sports settings. I recently worked with Orange County Soccer Club (OCSC) of the USL as their physical therapist and assistant athletic trainer for the past two seasons. Winning a national championship with OCSC in 2021 was one of the proudest moments of my professional career.
William and I have envisioned working together since graduate school to help improve the quality of treatment in our current healthcare system. Together, with The Movement Schopp team, we will provide exceptional care by applying the most up-to-date and progressive research that will allow for the most optimal patient outcomes.
